Yes, but who sent you is a given, and the oddness of Rand's riddle would be on his mind. As soon as the Dragon is involved, would think she would be very thorough, especially given the VERY odd way that he shows up at her door.
We also see Mesaana and Lanfear ask for very, very specific details, and also we have a moment with Graendal compelling Cyndane and Moghedien to know how she thinks.... And the prologue as well telling how no one knows where she is....
