I have an issue with that...Moridin is no longer going for the direct assault. He has learned from his losses. He is now biding his time and pulling strings. Why? because he realized that Rand is like heartstone, in fact all taveren are. the harder you try to change their path the more extreme the pattern will correct itself. Hence the Sha'rah scene. He is going to "let the lord of chaos rule", and in doing so I think he'll toss the other chosen at him, and let the light destroy itself. So while he may not be entertaining cannon fodder. He is the Best of the Chosen, hands down.
