not that i completely disagree, but, you did gloss over one key plot device..... mazza3 Send a noteboard - 18/12/2009 07:54:08 PM
someone had to stop the aes sedai from self destructing (albeit as a result of the D.O. and his followers) and only a limited number of people in the real world are actually 'follow me' types. egwene was obviously set up in this series to be the one to lead the aes sedai, so she is the a-type here. in real life, a-types don't tend to be the nicest or the most consistent people either, so i don't see what the big deal is that she points the finger at others (for the division/problems, etc.) but doesn't point it at herself. she can't point the finger at herself, that would be counter-productive. a leader has to stand a little bit apart or else they lose their advantage. even if that leader is 18 or so.

anyway, your arguments were well thought out, but definitely loooong son. i am truly amazed that you have spent so much time breaking down egwene's character in tGS, but i guess it reflects how accurately rj cast her 'type' if it can illicit such a response. twas well written too.

How do you find the time to post such long rants all the time? *NM* - 17/12/2009 08:22:17 PM 258 Views
Indeed... I'd pay for some brevity *NM* - 17/12/2009 08:30:57 PM 255 Views
Why don't you tell me when my last one was before saying things like "all the time"? *NM* - 17/12/2009 09:04:57 PM 273 Views
