I think it was actually a combination of 7, 9 and 10

Graendal and Sammael cooked up this plan way back in LOC...
Sammael, in drag, infiltrated Rands camp, Graendal actually did all the channeling for him so his Semirhage illusion would be perfect. Tragically Graendal outwitted Sammael and allowed him to be BF'ed ... thus fulfilling RJs quote that Sammael was toast.
Meanwhile, I think Semirhage is busy being a good damane in Seanchan which is why Mesaana thinks she needs to be rescued. Demandred has clearly spent too much time on the Isle of Madmen trying to recruit Sharans to fight for the DO and simple thinks Semirhage was in fact the one who fireballed Rand!
Now that we've cleared up that intuitively obvious debate let's get back to the real question...
When will Rand switch bodies with Aran'gar so he can be Pillow-friends with his wives?

Probably enough to get some DF reports, sent out new spies to Rand, deal with some nobles, etc. *NM*

I doubt that Graendal would want or need a stronger alliance with Aran'gar...
