That Mat's dice-in-head/luck ability is a Talent? Much like Wolfbrothers is what I mean. I have always felt this to be true but I can't recall anyone ever discussing it. If its not a Talent, what else could it be? Is it a result of Shadar Logoth? Of being ta'veren?
I would say it's not even definite, if the dices in Mat's head are really related to his luck, because the dices just seem to warn Mat, if something crucial will happen soon or if he has to make a crucial decision. The dices were also suggested as the little important detail (though it doesn't seem to fit 100 % with BS's comments).
RJ said that Mat's luck is in a away related to the DO's own luck. We see in TGS, ch. 27, that Mat's luck can in a way even be projected on someone else, who throws the dices for Mat. Apparently Mat can actively force the Pattern in such an instance.
