Like most people in this thread, I highly doubt one can balefire that far back...but how's this for giggles:

Asmodean was IN the palace when Rand balefired it. He balefired it back to the point in time that Asmodean was killed in TFoH. So Rand actually is the one who killed Asmodean. What we've been reading since TFoH is the revised, post-BF history.

Of course it makes no sense - because Graendal would have been gone all the way back to TFoH as well, therefore Rand wouldn't have had to go BF the crap out of her. So it's a giant paradox...but it made me chuckle while I was reading your post.
