I agree with you mainly, though (I guess just to be nitpicking) I wouldn't say that causing pain of heart is a lesser goal, rather than just a second goal. The first goal is her goal because she's set up there. Her second one is her goal if she has opportunity to pursue it. That was my interpretation, at least.


To the order to search the seals. It's a general order, but most Forsaken don't seem to care much about it, if they don't have a good opportunity to get a seal. In the same way, Graendal certainly was concentrated on Arad Doman, and not on Rand's emotional state, because Moridin actually commanded her to be successful in Arad Doman (not concerning Rand).
