Typically, when this comes up, I use the FoH episode to explain (rather than that PoD episode you use) because it's a little more straight forward (to me, anyway).

If it weren't for the FoH episode, I'd probably dismiss the PoD one. I agree there is some fishiness there, too, but it can be dismissed as sloppy writing, etc. without a whole lot of effort. So could the FoH episode, for that matter, except RJ's quote implies there wasn't an error in that scene. That makes it harder to dismiss, for me.
