Ofcourse, that begs the question of why bother doing it in the first place. I know there are theories that Rand will kneel, and then do something surprising to bind Tuon, which is why I brought it up.

But really, if Rand has some way of forcing Tuon to obey him (ta'veren, whatever), then he really should have no reason to kneel in the first place. I mean if he is near enough Tuon to kneel, then clearly he is in a position to execute whatever plan he has to bind her. Why would he kneel, and then execute it. To me that would just be RJ/BS taunting us with the false prophecy just for laughts. Poor writing that.

Unless he truly knelt in submission to get her support without tricks. Which as I said earlier, would likely lose him most of his true allies and would certainly not be worth it.



Bowing != Kneeling.

Not to mention that I don't really think Rand should do even that. Like you said when you mentioned the damane, the Seanchan are not exactly a noble society. Better than some to be sure, but horrifically evil to channelers and other slaves. And Rand is a channeler.

He needs them to win yes, but they are not worthy of the respect of Rand bowing to them. I would be disappointed if that happened. Maybe if Tuon changed her mind about the disgusting slavery that her society practises, but not before that.
