I really believe that this would have been the ideal thing to do. There will probably be a compromise of some sorts in the next two books, but to cripple the Seanchan would have made sense and been my action if I was Rand.


Also, in WoT all major characters experienced some kind of humility, bringing down to earth so to speak. I think Rand showing Tuon her place in the grand scheme would be healthy thing to do.
