Re: Of course. Fanatic - 16/01/2003 10:10:17 AM

If I wish to be really comforting, I use the Fanatical sig.

How odd, for I have never viewed myself as comforting in any sense, besides, perhaps, in the wee hours of the night, under a thin blanket as the stars pass behind a cloud and the fire dies down...

Aherm.

You will have noticed these, I am sure.

Of course.

But.

Uh-oh.

Me is me. I like whales. I am fond of trees. I dislike the impact of war on the innocent and the participants. I do not like stupidity, waste or cruelty to others. I like women and love some of them. I am Australian and proud of it. I am the product of my education whether formal, informal or experiental.

Hm, yes. And yet, I would think that (except for the Aussie part) every person in the world, as long as their are moderately intelligent, would agree with the rest. For some reason, though, what you see as a threat to trees, others see as a threat to jobs. What you see as a threat to whales, others see as a threat to culture. And so on and so forth, for I am sure you can see what I'm driving at. So why do you see somethings as such, while others do not? I have no answer, of course, but am still formulating the question.

So you should be able to predict my reactions to any given stimulus, if you have studied my past behaviour. I will not be taking any road to Damascus anytime soon, as I have been there, and I still have the T-shirt. So do not expect change.

Hehehe. Road to Damascus. Maybe that is sig-worthy for F. .
