When you try something for forty years and it doesn't work, it says to me that, rather than persist with the same policies as they seem to be advocating, something new is needed. I'm not saying the current policy will work - I don't know what will, but to argue to follow the Status Quo is surely wrong.

They say principles rather than policies...which is a different thing.
