1. What book would you most like to see adapted to film or TV?
Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan
Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson
A better Harry Dresden adaptation (if wishes could come true with a Firefly aged Nathan Fillion as Harry).
2. What would you least like to see (things that haven't yet been adapted)?
Most books

I like your Dresden wish. Although I'm not sure about how Nathan Fillion's looks would work. I thought the chap they had was actually a good Dresden physically.
I love your answer to number 2.
I've always been a little less concerned about the looks of a character than the actor's ability to portray the character. Fillion's ability to really embody a cantankerous, good-hearted, hard knocked, good guy with a dark streak... and humor, would be perfect for the role.

I highly recommend the Merchant of Venice (2004) directed by Michael Radford

After finishing a book I never really think "gosh that would make a good film"

I do sometimes. Mostly with thrillers or the like.

Luhrman largely stuck to Shakespeare's dialogue, though... and that worked amazingly well imho. *NM*
