I love reading as the kids fight through all the challenges. I like that they thought they needed to do it and did it,

BUT

If they hadn't nosed around and been down there, it is very unlikely Quirrell would have been able to get the stone anyway. That has always bothered me (though yes, I can admit to the fact that they discovered a Big Baddie, and that's good for everyone). Also, what was their plan for not dying? Taking on a super-villain and not knowing Harry was protected by his mother... I dunno. I always feel like I shouldn't pick it apart, but I am bothered.:P


I can see your point. I know Dumbledore let Harry do it for obvious reasons. And Harry wouldn't be Harry if he didn't go after Quirrell. Hmmm I guess the courage of not knowing if they would die is what it means to be in Gryffindor? That's the best explanation I got
