Dobby annoys me by sheer existence, and I dislike reading about him; Lockhart is annoying to the characters, but not annoying to read. The latter also applies to the Dursleys.


Lockhart is a glorious character because he's such a lovely caricature (being generous here...) of our celebrities. It's gorgeous.
