And I too can't remember the time where the map was wrong? That's going to bug me.

I was referring to the time in book four where the map showed "Barty Crouch", thus revealing that Moody was not really Moody and was in fact Barty Crouch Junior. It just seems that if there had been a miniature character at this point, Harry might have been able to go "hang on, that's not Barty Crouch...".
