Let's just hope HBO demanded a plotline of what happens to the end.

I know that this happens with a lot of authors. My wife was asked to translate a short summary of a proposed TV series based on a series of books by a popular Russian author. Books 1-6 have now been released but I read the synopsis of all 10. I know what's going to happen even though the books aren't final.


Of course, for the general public to see the story through to the end, the series would have to do well and get picked up for additional seasons.

I'll take any resolution to ASoIaF that I can get at this point!
