1. What dystopian literature have you read?

Ummm. Well. Let's see.
1984 (Orwell)
Brave New World (Huxley)
The Trial (Kafka)
A Clockwork Orange (Burgess)
The Time Machine (Wells)
Harrison Bergeron (Vonnegut)
The Giver (Lowry)
ummm. Those are the only ones I can think of that are clearly dystopian. The Gone-Away World (Harkaway) might count, but I think it has too many counterpoints to be truly dystopian.
V for Vendetta (Moore) would probably count, though.

2. Which was your favorite, and why?

I am really very bad at choosing. Brave New World has always been one of my favourites, possibly because it was the first one I read. I like them all, really. Choosing between books I like breaks my heart.

3. Which was your least favorite, and why?

Possibly The Giver because it is young adult and I read it after Brave New World, and it felt derivative.

4. Which did you find most disturbing, and why?

Brave New World. Again, this could be because it was my first dystopian novel.

5. Do you find it hard to read some dystopian literature because it is so disturbing?

No. And there are other books that leave me feeling more disturbed. On the contrary, I think that they have reassuring effect on me. It makes me feel like someone else is thinking things over as well. Like I can relax a little.

Don't get too spoilerific in these. :P

Currently I'm reading Zamyatin's We. Anyone else ever read it? Thoughts?

I never heard of it. Is it good?
