That is my alltime favorite, with one stipulation. It must be an older translation, there is a world of difference!
I once found an out-of-print version printed in the late 1800s on rice paper that had exquisite language!
The original in French lends itself to the flowery language that once existed in kingdoms. As an aside, there are two different but both excellent translations in Japanese, which also lends itself to fully express the wonders of the original (of course young Japanese readers would be lost in that language).
Do try to find an old copy, if you need a really good read. Maybe put in an order at a specialty shop (how I found mine).
