The whole idea of censorship is just... wrong.

Literature is like a work of art, and you shouldn't change it just to ensure political correctness.


I've read it a couple times in my 23 years and I don't think it should be changed to make a few people feel better. Racism was expressed a certain way then, and changing the book is like trying to hide the truth about how things were. Just leave it the same as it was written and leave it as optional. Hell, I hear more racist shit at places where I've worked.
