I'm mostly revisiting books I read in my late teens to mid-20s

I'm trying to nail down a sort of back to basics reading list for myself. I've read about half of those and know next to nothing of the others.
I plan to revisit Godot. Beckett is brilliant.
Why do you have Conrad on there? He's quite possibly the most overrated author that i have come across in the history of the English language. Wretched, stilted writing.
I'd go with the Chaucer, the Boccacio, and the Beckett.

The more experimental stuff is already spoken for, as I'll be part of a group of four (or more) group reviewing Eric Basso's prose, poetry, and dramas.
As for Conrad, you might need to live a bit more in order to understand. He was much better for me in my mid-30s than at 17.

The themes may improve. His inability to form any sort of coherent style likely will remain.

Very possible, considering 1/3 or so of the blog's readership isn't Anglo-American *NM*
