Because "it runs out of batteries" is quite possibly the worst reason I've seen to dislike ereaders.

Oh, that's not the only one. I get a headache if I read too long from a screen, the reader is not a book (and doesn't feel/look/smell like a one either), I usually only carry one, maximum two books with me at any given time, so carrying them isn't a problem. The choice of books is smaller in ebooks, and finally, I like real books.
