I never really like talking animals. I will grant you Black Beauty, since it felt real and realistic, and The Wind in the Willows. Otherwise I am all, MEH re: animals. Like, whatever.

I remember reading Redwall and being thoroughly bewildered by it. Was I supposed to care about these religious rats? Whatever for?
