Guy Gavriel Kay. Aeryn Send a noteboard - 20/06/2011 05:58:25 PM
And what did you read in May?

Care to write a review or three for the Board? :)

I'm in the middle of Sailing to Sarantium, which I have never actually read, despite reading and loving Lord of Emperors. Kay is really good, I've almost forgotten how good he is.

I didn't care for Never Let You Go at all. My objections boil down to: it's a NON-GENRE book, it's all talk talk talk, about non-consequential stuff (teenage relationships? so much better in Twilight), no action, no world building. I'm only confirmed in my orientation to only read speculative fiction which is firmly in the scifi/fantasy genre.
