on a tangent, the farseer and liveship trilogies still might be my favourite six fantasy books of all time. i reread them after maybe 6 or 8 years and i did think that my favourable memory of them may have been tinged by nostalgia, but they really weren't they truly are a great piece of work

I'm not sure if you are referring to the Assassin's Trilogy or the 2nd Fitzchivalry Trilogy.

i've read the assassin and liveship books two or three times and always back to back, but i've only read the tawny man trilogy once and had to wait for the releases, therefore i only had a faint remembrance of what occurred in the previous tawny man books and even when i was reading it the plot moved a little slowly compared to the first two trilogies and i didn't enjoy fitz in his diminished position in the court and his slight influence on the plot

however i'm reading through the entire six duchy/rain wilds trilogies again to read them from start to finish and i'll give them another go, mainly because i have very little memory of what actually happened
