I reread this last year as I was tutoring a girl at high school. I love it. It's very well written (although not Fitzgerald's best) and very much a piece of its time. I think what's most outstanding, though is the psychology. If you enjoyed this you should read more Fitzgerald. Tender is the Night is lovely, as are most of his other books and stories.
I read a couple of his short stories although no names come to mind at the moment. I remember one was about golf. Maybe. And I'll look into that, thanks for the recommendation. (Although last time I blatantly ignored your recommendation of Dracula simply because it didn't fit in my backpack.

I liked it, but thought it was a little lacking in both style and substance. Doesn't quite live up to its reputation, in my opinion.
I'd agree with that. I found the whole third act rather lame.
Oh and my username is what it is because I couldn't think of a better username...I'm not trying to be obnoxious.
Cancer never fights fair. Rest in peace Mrs. Cohen, you will be missed.

Certainly we care.
Interesting mix you had there, including a few I mean to read.
