Which plagiarized Dune and so on and so forth. [Battle Royale plagiarized the Lotterry, etc, etc]

I don't buy the "I came up with the same idea independently" any more than when Goodkind says it about his shitty series plagiarizing an equally shitty Wheel of Time.
If we were really sticklers for perfectly original books, it wouldn't be easy. Yeah I agree that she shouldn't keep insisting that she's never heard of Battle Royale before people started accusing her of plagiarizing. It's not a big deal to me personally. I don't dislike Goodkind because he plagiarized other bad authors, I dislike him on his own merits.
But you say that Battle Royale is a better book and movie, have you read both books so that you can get away with saying that?

I took it as both a lot more than reality TV satire, and not really that at all.

They're worth reading. (Everyone, do just try reading the first book) Ideally, before movie.

Even before reading on wikipedia, I thought, "this is a rip-off of Battle Royale."
