Okay, it pretty much kicked off modern fantasy but it was really only a reforging of old Scandinavian mythic epics.


But that could be said for any modern work of any genre. What's the saying? "There's nothing new under the sun."


Interesting would you have titles of any of those translated into English..glad someone else mentioned lord of the rings as I was going to. Maybe C.S. Lewis as well but the atheists might hate him simply on principle don't know.
