I'm reading Orb, Sceptre, Throne now. While it has its perks, it cannot hang with even the least of Erikson's stuff (excepting Crak'd Pot Trail).

Here's my problem, the same problem I've always had with Esselmont:

WHY IS K'RUL A WOMAN. K'RUL HAS NEVER BEEN A FREAKING WOMAN. Did he not read Gardens of the Moon? Deadhouse Gates? Memories of Ice? ANY of the book of the fallen? It's shit like this that drives me nuts in his books. And don't try to give me this "he/she can appear in any form he/she wants" crap, since the characters who have dealt with K'rul now call him a her, he a she, like that's what he's always been and they never had any reason to do different, even though it's clear that K'rul has not made an appearance for some time. That would be like making T'iam a guy, or having Togg and Fanderay just be lesbian wolf lovers.

All I'm asking for is a little consistency here. tighten up, ICE. Not to mention all the typos.

EDIT: was super tired last night when I made the orginal post. I would never call Erikson any of those things intentionally. I love you, man!
