Considering that I readily admit that I enjoy kitsch and that pro wrestling is certainly that, I would have to say that my standards don't really change when shifting from pro wrestling to book reviewing

Except that whenever you review or speak to a book, if it isn't high literature, you say that it is not a good book. You do not apply the same sort of standards.
Wrestling can be good, simply because people enjoy it. A movie can be bgood, simply because people enjoy it. Twinkies are good because people like them. However, for you, a book/story can never be good simply because people like it...
Because I rarely use the words "good" or "bad" when commenting on stories from a variety of genres, instead preferring to compare strengths and weaknesses without resorting to binary labels. But feel free to read through the hundreds of reviews I've published there since 2007, if you want

Illusions fall like the husk of a fruit, one after another, and the fruit is experience. - Narrator, Sylvie
