Well, I thought it had largely died as a viable model back in 2004-2005 Larry Send a noteboard - 14/09/2012 10:09:44 PM
Too bad the book club model died a gruesome death a long time ago.

But yeah, that does seem rather optimistic, the board's current state being what it is. :P

The Russian Book Club had a few successes (a few failures too, granted), and that wasn't that long ago, but it's true the board's grown quieter since then.

Quieter? This board is mostly the province of 6-7 people (half of which have posted in this thread ;)) and a few others who react from time to time. Really sad that the D&D thread is one of the top two threads this year in terms of replies :P

Hm. I might give that a try, then, despite being even less of a fan of Le Rouge et le Noir than you. *NM* - 12/09/2012 09:56:50 PM 227 Views
Sounds like you'd be the only one. This review went over like a fart in church. *NM* - 12/09/2012 11:20:23 PM 263 Views

We could certainly do some interesting book clubs on French lit, if we had enough participants. - 13/09/2012 06:49:34 PM 532 Views

Yeah, my Princess de Clèves review didn't have much success either. *NM* - 13/09/2012 06:48:07 PM 231 Views
I didn't notice that one. Did you post it last week or the week before? - 13/09/2012 07:42:11 PM 543 Views
Two weeks ago, yeah. - 13/09/2012 08:20:45 PM 561 Views
