Couldn't killing herself be more of a sign of a broken heart? Maybe she really fell for Brandon but he treated her like yesterday's news. Not cool, definitely, but that doesn't necessarily make him a really bad guy. Besides, why would Ned name his son after Brandon if his brother was as bad as a guy as you think he is?
