Very late in responding (just no real time these nights to do anything - see my comment in the March reading thread), but I thought you might like to know that I did (partially) follow your advice. I found for a cheap price at a local used bookstore the Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft edition of the 27th edition of Nestle-Aland's Novum Testamentum Graece (I know the 28th was released recently but this will do for now. Later in the year I'll order the Septuagint edition you suggested. Also bought the Weber-Gryson edition (again by Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft) of the Stuggart Vulgate to use as a means of helping me recall my Latin more easily.
