Reading slumps are really weird things to me Larry Send a noteboard - 12/02/2017 04:20:58 AM

For most of my life, I never quite understood how people who used to read regularly could just lose for any lengthy period of time the absolute desire to read. Then the past couple of months struck. After finishing Carlos Ruiz Zafón's El laberinto de los espíritus just after Christmas, I haven't been able to muster up the energy/desire to read more than the table of contents of any book on my desk. Six weeks now of no reading and no hint that it'll break anytime soon. Just so odd.

For those of you who've had anything like this happen to you before, what snapped you out of it?

Illusions fall like the husk of a fruit, one after another, and the fruit is experience. - Narrator, Sylvie
