Seerow was the Andalite scientist who gave interstellar technology to the seemingly-benign Brain Leech race, the Yeerks. Then the Yeerks started enslaving the galaxy. Whoops.
I forget, exactly, what Seerow did after that, but I know the Andalites felt a combination of regret, shame, horror, and loathing at what one of their race had done, and spent all of their effort towards defeating what they had accidentally created.
