Oddly, all my school theory books are in alphabetical order according to author.

Certainly not. Most sensible, in fact.

How do you organise your bookshelf?


By genre, with one genre fading into another related one. Books are chronological within a genre, if that's appropriate. I am out of space, even with the random books rammed in the back behind the main ranks. All my trade paperbacks and hardbacks have to go on the bottom shelves as they're the only ones big enough. When I have enough room, I'll buy more book cases and reorganise. I love my bookcases, they're really nice and have glass doors.


How do you determine if a genre is related to another?
