If you're interested in Russian literature I can give YOU suggestions.
I don't really intend to read all that many books (I think I read like fifteen or twenty books a year on average these days, and I don't think all of those are going to be big classics ), but I intend to finish Anna Karenina, possibly reread War and Peace, then at least one Dostoyevsky, probably Crime and Punishment. And The Master and Margarita, odds are that one'll be Book Club at some point... Other than that, feel free to give me suggestions, and hopefully I'll get around to reading a few of them. A history book or two is welcome, as well, particularly if you know of any that go into some detail about the Russian conquest of the Muslim states of Central Asia. I know far too little about that.
Planned reads for 2010.

It's mostly things I've bought and not read yet. Other than that, there's no coherent theme.

I'm actually the same as Tim. Haven't read them since I did it in 5th grade.

Okay, I misread Tim's response and thought he was thinking about a year of Russian literature.

I suppose if you're interested in the development of the thriller/adventure novel, Cooper is okay.
