This list isn't my entire reading plan for the year. It's the things I've been meaning to read for ages but haven't got round to, and which I've realised I'll probably never get round to if I don't put them on a list like this one. In between, I'll be reading easier stuff with which I don't have that problem.
P.S. These two are pretty non-literary:
The first is a book about whisky, and the second... well, it's Bill Bryson.

Raw Spirit – Iain Banks

Hehe. I suppose I'll have a few of "those kinds" of books on my list this year as well. I guess I just have a soft spot for some of those less heard of but wonderful stories. I did already read Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang, which is a classic, and I actually found it was very good.
Iain Banks is fucked up, btw. I read The Wasp Factory last year? no, the year before. That was cracked.

It's mostly things I've bought and not read yet. Other than that, there's no coherent theme.

I'm actually the same as Tim. Haven't read them since I did it in 5th grade.

Okay, I misread Tim's response and thought he was thinking about a year of Russian literature.

I suppose if you're interested in the development of the thriller/adventure novel, Cooper is okay.
