I am trying to be understated. It is hard.

When my husband read it he didn't say much beyond that I "might want to try it" which means he is pretty sure that I will really like it. So I did. And I found out very quickly why he was hunting down the information on the internet and local bookstore as to when the sequel would be out even before he finished it.

Then we got two of our kids to read it. They had no sooner finished the book than they were calling and asking if we had the sequel yet. When would it be out? We were all....impressed.

I had just finished reading another book that had been heavily recommended to me and it left me cold. I finished it but it was a chore. And it left me empty.Not wanting to really read another book at the time. But I picked up this book and I knew within the first ten pages that there was magic in this one. This man could write. I was enthralled.

The one drawback is that the next book isn't out yet. And I am not sure when it will be. But considering all that is going on in the author's life and how hard he is trying to make the second part as good as the first part, I am willing to wait. I don't want to be let down. The first book set a high bar and I am cheering for him to clear that bar with the second book as well.
