I don't mean that as Magician is completely indicative of the genre. It does however provide a pretty strong basis for what a Fantasy story does. It also contains a great many of the typical fantasy character types, plot elements, PoV shifts, story twists. Now, Magician is one of the stronger examples, but it still serves as a good introduction point.

Magician is hardly unique in its style, approach, delivery, or primary plot devices. It's just of a higher quality writing and storytelling than average.
Death to the Regressives of the GOP and the TeaParty. No mercy for Conservatives. Burn them all at the stake for the hateful satanists they are.
