that said, it is my absolute favorite setting for D&D style gaming

Unfortunately, I have to run the games in the setting, since none of my friends have read the series, and no one will listen to me; though they all listened when I told them about Wheel of Time, and then about A Song of Ice and Fire. And they have thanked me. The gamers among them would love the setting I think.
Personally, I'd rather just be a player in the game, preferably a rogue based game set in Krondors (Mockers!!!!!). But the world has so many possibilities at any time period of the novels. And even high leveled and epic level potentials.
Unfortunately, even if I found players and a DM knowledgeable in setting who wanted to play it, I wouldnt be able to. Finally back in school (after 17 years) and I no longer have time to do much other than studying. As a matter of fact, I've already been pushing it tonight being on RAFO checking stuff out. Bad me!!

Thanks for reminding me. I ALWAYS forget that when discussing this series. Which is sad really because I still consider Return to Krondor to be one of my favorite PC RPGs.
The only issue I have with not commenting that the world feels very game-like due to the fact that it was created after a game world, is that not all casual readers or first time readers, will be away of this, and that might color their opinion of Feists worldbuilding skills in a negative way. Because of this fact, I let my previous statement stand.

Death to the Regressives of the GOP and the TeaParty. No mercy for Conservatives. Burn them all at the stake for the hateful satanists they are.

in that case, you should be wary of the most beautifully written fantasy series of all time
