Kvinner is Norwegian for "women", is it? Interesting. I knew the link between English (queen) and Middle-Dutch (kwene), but not that there was a Norwegian cognate that actually still had the medieval meaning... awesome.


It is quite fun, isn't it?
And yes. It means woman. The book is the one that in English is called The Girl with the Dragon tattoo for some reason.

I have spent the last few weeks going "ooh" at English/Norwegian etymology (reading Chaucer and then Spenser). It is entertaining.
