This is how the Land's End issues arose. Originally the book was meant to be set in Sarth, but then Stirling reset it in Land's End. When Feist got the book it was too close to the publication date to do major changes.

Even those crappy LEgends of the Riftwar or whatever it was called books. The ones he co-wrote with other authors. Sheesh. I was warned not to read them back on the home site, hell one person flat out told me not to read them under any circumstance, not even for completeness sake.

I just can't help myself. In some ways I love Midkemia more than most other settings.
