Because it was changed a bit for the editions that started being done after the 10th year or so. not sure exactly what changes were done (been a long time since I've read it) but I remember a forward to that edition by Feist talking about having rewritten parts of it.
The revised edition I am referring to was published 15 years after the original (Original published in 1989, Revised published in 2004). I'm not aware of any other version published in between and I can't find mention of it online, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
