It seemed like at the end, nothing really changed. Sure, the characters were in different places, but the country was exactly the same as it had been in the beginning. It's like... what was the point of it all? The whole thing just left me feeling empty and manipulated at the end.

It couldn't quite qualify as "top of the line" literature for me since the characters really didn't evolve much.
