All the menu options under "Home" are apparently in Black font color, on a black background (using the Black color scheme.)

Are you sure? The text is white for me.
It's fine on the laptop, and wrong on the desktop
The main menu options stay black for all color schemes.

Mine is black text on green background
I'm using IE 6 and maybe it's too old a browser. It is very hard to read.

Why use IE6?
I work for a bank and we upgrade slowly. It's been fixed for me now.
