Oh yeah, I've seen it takes years, especially when it's being fought and no one really wants to be the person who signs off on it. He's in the guard in New York now, transferring from active in '08, a little surprising then that as a west point grad in '03 he was still a 1LT not CPT so that is kinda raising my eyebrow.



Brave I'll give him, good officer I have no idea, I'm not going to pin imaginary medals or misconduct on him for his political activity. But courage is not in my opinion a trait lacking in most service members, I have never worn my uniform to any political event. I don't really want to see the man crucified over this, but I do think he and the others, especially any that are still in or haven't completed their 8 years of MSO, should apologize to the rest of us for doing this. I appreciate civil disobedience but keyword is 'civil' or 'civilian', I don't want any precedent set that this sort of thing is okay to do or every rally and protest will feature soldiers in uniform decrying this or that, from the relatively mainstream like this or a pro-choice/life rally to someone attending a Klan-meet just to be a prick. I like our current rule the way it is, keep your head down politically, don't use your uniform as political statement. I appreciate and respect what he's doing but I think he crossed the line on this.
