The law will be overturned but it may help to get the federal government off their collective ass *NM* Aisha Send a noteboard - 26/04/2010 03:20:45 PM
Border states are being overrun and people are getting more and more angry about it. There has always been illegal immigrants coming across the border but it has reached unsustainable levels now. Dallas is a long ways from the border but 70% of the children born in county hospitals are born to illegal immigrants. The borders states are going from place with a rich influence of Hispanic cultures to places that are becoming dominated by Hispanic culture. The people living in these areas have a right to want to protect their culture and their way of life.

I dont see anything wrong with an area being ""overrun" by any culture. lets say all these hispanic were legal and not illegal, would you still have a problem with them overrunning us with their culture? hell I wish connecticut would be overrun with Hispanic culture, we need better restaurants in the are.

If the federal government continues to ignore the problem we will see more and more laws like this passed as more people become "radicals" who do not want to see their areas drowned in a sea of illegal immigrants.

Obama can bitch all he wants but if the federal government was doing its job states wouldn't have to step in. States have very limited authority when comes to immigration issues so they limited options when the federal government fails to meet its responsibilities.
