Are you saying that this will not have any economic consequences for Arizona? To actually carry out this new law, requires more and sustained legal resources, that's going to cost money. Also, it's a foregone conclusion that there's going to be lawsuits, I think we can all agree on that - it's really just a matter of time. Economic boycotts, loss of a labor pool. Heck, I didn't even touch on the Tourism industry there, which is already scrambling after this bill was past. Some 37 million tourists a year visit the state, four million from Mexico, worth $18 billion to the local economy.
In all fairness, if you have some numbers of your own or if you have a link that shows this law to be a net positive for Arizona's economy, I'd really like to read it. I just don't see how this law will do anything but brings more pain to the state's budget.
