Once you realize that since death is worse then maybe you can start to feel that there must be a reason why you are alive. And that answer depends on the person. That's why some people believe in soul-mates. Its the belief that there is someone out there who will share your life and let you know that each breath matters. Every insignificant thing you do is witnessed by somebody.

Now I haven't found my soul-mate yet. But its the hope that she is out there that comforts me. Other people may find things that give them meaning; like their job perhaps. But I like to think that it's people that matter in this life. It's the connection of two souls. Somebody that can think and feel and love and laugh. And this person doesn't have to be a romantic partner. It can be a family member or best friend. But its better when it's a romantic partner
